New Week – New Giveaway

Over the last few days I had a lot of share stories of you ‘passing it on.’  I enjoyed reading your posts and hope that even if only a few of you participated, we added a spark of happiness to someone’s day.  If you didn’t get a chance to post, or are reading these posts for the first time, feel free to still pay it forward and then share in the comments.  I so wish I could have chosen everyone to win, but alas I can only afford to give away one stamp set.  So by a random drawing, the winner is Denise Wells….here is what she wrote.

Denise WellsDenise, contact me in the next week with any stamp set of your choosing.  Thanks everyone!

I saw your post on Cricut.com and I wanted to check out your blog. I really was touched by the post by Denise. It touched me. I have paid it forward many times in my life but this past time I paid it forward was the funniest thing I have done. I have this friend. At the time I did this she wasn’t really a friend. I bowled with her and only knew her from bowling. We started talking one day and found that we both are interested in scrapping. I have been scrapping for 10 plus years and she was wanting to start scrapping. She was going through a divorce after 22 years of marriage and was really depressed. After that we soon became friends and started doing things outside of bowling. She really couldn’t afford to start scrappping because of her divorce was really hard financially but I knew that scrapping has helped me through a lot of bad times emotionally and it gave me a relaxing mood when ever I scrapped and I hoped it would help her. So I went through my scrapping supplies and gave her lots of supplies to get her started. I also told her that if she needed to use a tool at any time she was more than welcome to come over to my house and use them. She has since started scrapping and she finds herself really enjoying it. It makes me feel good that I could share my unused supplies with her. The best part about this paying it forward is that I truly got a very good friend out of it.

      Hugs and happy creating
      Dori

  9. Congrats to Denise!!

Thank you for the chance to win Outdoor Man! My husband and sons are always doing manly things outdoors and it would be awesome to get this cartridge to document it all. They hunt, fish, cut wood and the sons love dirt bikes.

    Love your blog!!

  10. What a great “pass it on” story from Denise. It is really meaningful when the “doer” doesn’t expect anything in return and is just “doing” because it is the right thing to do.

  11. Congrats to Denise! Thanks so much for sharing this story. It’s so important to remember how much putting others first can mean when that person is struggling.
Dr. Phil, thanks so much for all you do and thanks for the chance to win this cartridge! As soon as it came out I knew it would be great for my outdoors-loving husband!

  12. Thanks for keeping your blog fresh and fun! What a great giveaway…I LOVE that cartridge!!!! :-)

what a great cartridge. My youngest son got my husband involved in hunting a couple years ago. It has been a wonderful father/son time for the two of them. My husband tells me about the quiet and the beauty of being in the outdoors. Someday I’m going to go with them on a scouting trip. I can’t be still long enough to be a hunter. They are very greatous to me and take pictures when they are on perches in the trees and when sitting and just waiting. I love the fact they think of me when they are having “their” time. I’d love to have this cartridge if possible. I thinnk it’s great you do so much for so many people with your give aways. no matter who wins this one, thank you for your ideas and your freebees
